December 22, 2014

I'm keeping this short (relatively short) because I am just too excited to talk to you guys on Christmas! You know how your heart litterally swells with joy? Mine does that all the time when I think about my family! I've got the best around, and it's been fun thinking of everyone all over this year in the states and back at home. Just travel safe and send me lots of pictures! Especially of the newest baby Sabey because I don't think I've seen him yet. Oh and how is Kallie with her little bun? I am so excited you saw Randy and Deb! Tell them hello and give them a big hug for me! Also, to the unnamed angel who sent a ginger bread decorating kit to the house this week, thanks! That's such a cool idea and we are going to take it to the Willes on Christmas and make it while the other companion calls.

I'm relatively sure my stomach committed sin this week and drank real tea at Patricia's house but repentance is real and we retaught the Word of Wisdom so hopefully that helps. What's the spanish equivalent to "please just let us drink the apple juice"? Languages are hard.

The coolest thing that happened this week was at our District Meeting we all got up and bore our testimonies of the Saviour and His Atonement for us. It was simple and powerful to hear the testimonies and I think it's my favourite meeting we've had this week.

Oh I got to lead around a troup of Girl Scouts at the Lutheran Home this week for caroling. They were all taller than me which was only slightly awkward as my companion tried to keep me in sight and sound. I got to dance with my favorite lady Alice who likes to shimmy and am loving all the fun Christmas memories being formed and remembered. One of the sweetest comments at church was made by a lady whom adopted all 4 of her children when talking about Father Joseph and the love he had for Christ as his earthly adopted Son. What faith, and a new perspective I hadn't thought of.

Miracles are happening, hearts and changing and I am just so excited to see what the new year brings in Wisconsin. It might not be baptisms, but good things are happening. I love you all! Merry Christmas from your little moose!

PS: I'm also really sorry to hear about Patricia Dudley. I didn't even know she wasn't doing well.
