Family! I am a little short on time today but I am excited to report I am alive and well and I make no apologies for complaining about humidity because it's as bad as you think. But luckily it's not everyday. You also will receive no pictures of me with my hair down on humid days because it's rough and God wants missionaries to be cute now so we're working on that. I'm just teasing... sort of. The area is great! Our ward is mostly young families from Utah going to Medical School but the area we teach couldn't be more different. I'm in a suburb of Milwaukee called Wauwatosa and good heavens I can't spell anything here for the life of me. Usually me and my companion are the only white people on the bus so we stick out but it makes people look at us which makes it easier to start a conversation. I'm getting braver at bus contacting but teaching lessons and meeting the members are my favourite parts so far. We meet the most hillarious people. Like one guy who yells "Act a fool for Jesus!" and then proceeds to dance and sing praises. We also met a born again lady whom refused to call us Sister and wanted to know our first names because she feared we'd been brain washed. She meant well but it strengthened my testimony that I know I'm not crazy, I love this gospel and I am here to work hard. Oh and this doughnut/ pizza shop called Cranky Als gave us a huge box of free doughnuts which we proceeded to carry around random places including a free way which was under construction that we ended up getting stranded on and then hiking down a hill side. That was an adventure but we survived. We then had same said box of doughnuts in a park as we talked to Marcus, a bus driver dressed as an Amish man. Those doughnuts lead us on some adventures. I'll have to write in more detail about that later but just know that the people are amazing! Theres a nice man named Joe from Utah who just gave us a gift card to go to lunch because he loves missionaries. He's not a member but I guess he's just met some great ones. I hope we can carry on the good rep. Everyone loves religion, they have a hard time committing to one but it's been fun and interesting to talk to people. They make me look people in the eyes, now if I just get rid of the slouch I'll communicate like a real person. I love and miss you all and am so excited to hear about all the good things. Keep the emails coming and I'd love to see pictures, especially of my nephews. Here are a few from the MTC- I love you!
